Japan to the Cotswolds
Two places that are part of my life.
I grew up in Hiroshima, Japan, and have lived in Britain for more than twenty years. Today I live in the Cotswolds. Wisteria Hill Botanicals brings those two parts of my life together: botanical balms I make here by hand in small batches, with distinctive essential oils I source from Japan.
Read the storyThe balm
A simple base, made from carefully selected natural-origin ingredients.
Every balm is made from the same core ingredients: jojoba oil, olive-derived squalane, refined shea butter, white beeswax and natural vitamin E.
Organic jojoba & olive squalane
Our organic jojoba oil and olive-derived squalane help soften and condition the skin while giving the balm a smooth, lightweight feel.
Shea butter & white beeswax
Shea butter helps nourish and soften the skin, while white beeswax helps form a protective layer that reduces moisture loss.
Natural vitamin E
Our vitamin E is a natural blend of mixed tocopherols in sunflower seed oil, included to help protect the oils in the formula from oxidation.
Essential oils from Japan
The six scented balms each contain a single essential oil sourced from Japan — lemon, yuzu, hinoki cypress, hakka mint, todo fir or akaezo spruce.
Made with 100% natural-origin ingredients.
No petroleum jelly or mineral oil.
